Smiling Gal!

I’m a Minnesota native, but spent most of my adult life outside the state. For me, that was undergrad in Central New York, jobs post-college in Miami, Florida and Southern California. I returned to Minnesota in late 2005 and happily settled into a condo I adore in the Mill District of Downtown Minneapolis.

I come from a very close family. My parents have been married for 40 yrs (this May)! I also have a younger sister (and brother - we are all adopted) and an awesome brother-in-law. I have two adorable nieces, whom I love to spoil and spend time with. And, I can't forget my grandpa. He is the most active 86-year-old you’ll ever meet! He still takes bicycle trips in Europe, lives the wonderous retired life splitting time between Naples, FL, Minneapolis and Brainerd, oh and he can still beat me at a mean game of cribbage…and he’s the one who made me a baseball fan!

Regarding my friends, they are the most amazing in the world and some of those friendships have spanned decades. I try to surround myself with people that challenge my way of thinking, but will also be there through thick and thin.

I love traveling and take advantage of using my vacation to experience the world. In 2009, I enjoyed a month-tour in South America (Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay) and also a month escape to Europe (Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Switzerland, Italy) … both trips were for my MBA program at the University of Minnesota. I love character-building moments, and traveling solo outside the U.S. allowed me to meet some amazing people that have become lifelong friends…and for that, I now have friends all over the world and experiences to treasure for a lifetime. Domestically, I’m always bouncing around the country, but can most often be found in Southern California, Colorado or one of the big cities: New York, Chicago, etc.

And, in my spare time, I love running, yoga, biking and spending lazy weekends at the cabin waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, boating, relaxing in my hammock and watching the Twins at night.

For my career, I work for a Fortune 500 based locally in marketing & strategy. I take pride in my career and aspire to climb that ladder all the way to the top by the age of 50 (or sooner)! If you care to know, I’m an ESTJ (Myers-Briggs)….but my career does not run my life…just a place that I enjoy to help me live the life I love!
